Manager, Marketplace Merchandising,

Men’s Lifestyle Footwear – Americas

We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and experienced Integrated Marketplace Manager to join our team. In this role, you will drive the overall strategic direction and assortment planning for the Men’s Lifestyle Footwear business.

You will drive our business through strategic planning with your category vision grounded in Merchandise Financial Planning, sku efficiency, strong understanding of consumer and marketplace trends, business trend analysis, Go to Market calendar adherence, clear communication, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve our revenue and profitability targets.

You will create meaningful relationships with cross functional partners as you are the primary conduit between the Global Product Management team and the Regional Commercial (Direct to Consumer and Wholesale) and Marketing teams. You will provide regional briefs that effectively communicate your consumer-focused perspective of the competitive landscape, market trend analysis, and clarity on the regional needs to achieve revenue targets to the Global team.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

  • Manage a near and mid-term strategic product assortment grounded in Merchandise Financial Planning, Sku Efficiency, Pricing & Margin analysis, current business trend analysis, forecasting, Product Lifecycle Management, and Consumer Insights.

  • Create marketplace assortment plans that distort and support our largest strategic initiatives and optimize the broader assortment to drive efficiency, marketplace differentiation, and consumer connectivity via distribution and segmentation choices.

  • Your understanding of the consumer, marketplace, and business needs will provide valuable feedback and specific input to the Global Product Management teams to drive our Americas business.

How you will do it:

  • Demonstrate cross-functional leadership and strong communication with the commercial teams (Direct to Consumer Buying & Wholesale Sales), Marketing, your fellow Marketplace Managers, and Global product counterparts to inform and drive your business.

  • You understand and embrace the consumer and culture – including Vans competitive positioning, to inform strategic thinking and regional perspective.

  • Articulate your vision in a clear, data informed, and implementable manner when presenting product during seasonal Line Reviews and Go to Market milestones.

  • Healthy collaboration to contribute your portion of the over-arching Marketplace Merchandising assortment to support head to toe storytelling and initiatives.

  • Financial targets (revenue and margin) are met and/or exceeded.

Skills for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: 7+ years

Educational Position Requirements:

A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

What we expect you already know:

  • Expertise in Product Merchandising fundamentals including, but not limited to: Merchandise Financial Planning, Sku Efficiency Analysis, Margin & Pricing Analysis, Reporting Analysis, Product Assortment & Marketplace strategy, & understanding of Vans’ target consumer, product, and marketplace trends.

  • Strong interpersonal communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Office and Product Line Management software

  • Demonstrate the organizational ability to facilitate multi-tasking and execution in a fast-paced environment.

Hiring Range:

$90,720.00 USD - $113,400.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
