Boeing Global Services is currently seeking an Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineerto become part of the Commercial Derivative Airplane Planning team in San Antonio, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provides shipside Manufacturing Engineering support to Mechanics and other support functions on the VC25B program, including providing engineering clarification for mechanics and authoring work instructions for Non-Conformances.
- Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build.
- Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization.
- Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
- Resolves complex technical problems.
- Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained.
- Supports advanced design solutions and research of new product or business opportunities.
- Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods.
- Documents and communicates producibility best practices.
- May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs and deadlines.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options(San Antonio, TX).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an ABET accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar Engineering degree.
- Ability to obtain program access for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years’ experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- 1+ years’ experience applying professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues.
- Microsoft Office Suite Skills.
- Experience with CATIA.
- Experience with IVT.
- Experience with GoldEsp.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
