Form of workVariety is looking for a coordinator to support our talented editorial and sales teams. This role will be based in our New York office. Ideal candidates will have relevant internship, school, and job experience, as well as excellent organizational skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn. This is not a writing or reporting role, although you will be working directly with Variety’s editors in chief. This role is perfect for you if you are passionate about entertainment and have an interest in sales and marketing.
This is a full-time, entry level role. Prefer 1 year of office experience.
Candidates should be detail-oriented and independent workers who want to learn the ins and outs of advertising sales for the number one entertainment industry brand.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in scheduling appointments, setting up Zoom meetings and handling editorial invoices and expenses
- Develop sales and marketing materials including letters of agreement and media plans
- Input media and event sponsorship sales orders
- Add and maintain all client information in client database for billing purposes
- Communicate with clients and agencies
- Juggle responsibilities for general office support; distribute weekly publication to advertisers and events; update specific sales representative projections as instructed
- Overall support for sales and editorial teams
Requirements:
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented
- Must be able to thrive in a face paced environment and adhere to tight deadlines
- Must be able to take initiative in certain tasks
- Salesforce experience not mandatory but is a plus
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong interest in advertising sales, marketing and/or publishing
This position pays $25-26/hr.
As part of our company-wide rollout of PMC’s paid healthcare plan, for this role the company pays 100% of the monthly health, dental and vision plan premiums for the employee and their family. The total compensation package for this position will include other elements including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
