UTC Railcar Repair Services LLC | A Marmon Rail Company. We are a full-service union railcar repair shop in Sayre, PA. We are currently looking for 2nd ShiftVALVE APPLICATORS. This position is responsible for assembly the valve plates (if needed) and applying valves to the top and bottom of tank cars. Standard operation in Monday through Friday, from 2:00 pm to 10:05pm. Starting pay rate is $25.20per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential for working 2nd Shift.

Position: VALVE APPLICATOR / CAR REPAIR

Description of Duties / Qualifications:

• Must pass Valve Specialist I exam

• Must be Leak Test Level II certified

• May be required to complete Valve Specialist II and / or Dye Penetrant Level II qualification

• Must have the knowledge, understanding, and capability to appropriately identify proper hardware, prepare valve / gasket surfaces, and reapply the valves / gaskets in accordance with all requirements and standards set forth by the AAR / DOT / FRA / Union Tank Car and manufacturer's specifications

• Must also be able to perform all duties of the Car Repair classification

Education Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Must be able to pass a Company skill assessment test

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stoop for extended periods and routinely move from kneeling to standing position

• Must be able to wear a respirator

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from the ground surface

• Must be able to climb ladders and perform work at elevated heights

• Must be able to work in confined spaces

• Must be able to pass Company physical exam

• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing

• Must be able to pass vision acuity test

General Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future
