This temp will not be performing work previously supported by Client who were impacted by a reduction in force.
Mia currently covers Finder and all of Physical Safety (which includes Wear Safety). Finder in particular is a P0 initiative for Client which launch this year and requires UXR support. Without a backfill, both of these areas will be completely unsupported from a UXR perspective.

We’re looking for a UX Researcher to help shape the future of Client an operating system powering over 2 billion devices around the world, and Better Together, an exciting initiative to bring seamless cross-device experiences across a user’s ecosystem of devices.
The Mission
The Better Together team is focused on researching, designing, building, and delivering experiences that enable devices across the client device ecosystem to compound each other’s value. Better Together sets the stage for a long-term ambient computing paradigm where the device fades into the background and your services and state intelligently come with you as you move between devices. We work with partners across Client to build and launch a seamless ecosystem experience which includes phones, hearables, wearables, tablets, laptop computers, and more.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
Conduct research supporting teams across Client Better Together.
Utilize a range of methodologies, depending on business needs: usability, longitudinal studies, benchmarking, metrics analysis, and much more
Support research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations
Conduct research at different phases of the product development lifecycle which spans from ideation through post-launch
Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:
BA/BS in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Information Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. MA/MS preferred.
Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.).
Product research experience in an applied research setting.
