Purple, Rock, Scissors has an exciting contract opportunity for a UX Research Operations Manager to work within the UX research discipline of a large tech client of ours. This role requires someone who has a deep understanding of UX, content and storytelling, and an ability to expertly manage multiple deliverables in a fast paced environment. The current team is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers: who all care deeply about the people who use their products. The UX team plays an integral part in understanding the needs, attitudes, emotions, and behaviors of people who use their products to inspire and inform design.
We are searching for an experienced UXR Operations Manager with a background in running and facilitating research programs. This individual is someone who can help steer, optimize and streamline Research Operations and has an uncanny ability to unblock operational hurdles, and enable research teams to focus on their craft. This individual will be primarily focused on and responsible for recruitment of research participants and vendor management. This is a hands-on role and the ideal candidates will be those who thrive on managing the day to day details of a research program.
Contract Opportunity: 6 months, potentially longer. Full time hours. Contract/W9.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of critical research programs to amplify the user voice across product teams
- Advocate efforts to scale Research Operations by owning the vision behind the creation of repeatable processes, playbooks, infrastructure, and best practices
- Serve as a critical partner on the strategy of research specific programs to help UX Researchers run studies and consolidate research findings to improve the product experience
- Partner with vendors to recruit and coordinate the involvement of research participants for in-person studies
- Plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, and ensure projects meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of Research Operations experience
- 3 years of program management experience
- Experience with User Research, and/or Research focused tools and methodologies
- Experience with working with vendors and managing relationships between in-house and vendor partner teams
- Experience scaling operational efforts across UX Research organizations including participant recruitment and vendor management
- Big tech experience preferred
