Ux Designer

We are looking for a talented UX Designer to join our Product Team.  You will be focused on designing the user interfaces for new products, features, and experiences for our customers.  This position will work closely with Product Managers, Marketing, Development, and Executive Leadership to define the vision for a data and user feedback driven Sertifi user experience.  

Our ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset and a proven track record of establishing the tools and processes to ensure correct decisions are made in every case to improve the user experience.  

This position will report to our Director of Product. 
Candidates must be based in the United States, in Chicago, or within a Sertifi approved state for remote work:

Challenges You'll Tackle: 

• Design the user interface for in app, or other interactive media to ensure easy-to-use interface and experience. 
• Provide data points and insights while collaborating with product managers and engineers on UI and UX decisions. 
• Gather requirements from all sources before designing ideas that can be communicated using storyboards. 
• Provide process flows or sitemaps. 
• Research and become familiar with customers, competitors, and industry products. 
• Participate in developing user personas, scenarios, and user stories. 
• Create prototypes, mock-ups, and wireframes. 
• Proactively review UI delivery of new features and enhancements to ensure they meet the designed expectations. 
• Establish usability testing protocols and ensure inclusion into QA cycles. 
• Actively contribute to develop brand standards and guidelines with Marketing to ensure consistency between our products, web presence and marketing materials. 
• Collaborate with Marketing on updates to brand standards within the product to ensure alignment with the overall Sertifi brand. 
• Facilitate usability processes including A/B testing, customer feedback sessions, and pilot discoveries to measure the success of our experience. 
• Proactively build relationships with user communities and engage in user experience discussions. 
• Data tracking over time, (click counts, processing time, hot spots, bail outs, etc.) comparative to baselines as enhancements and features are deployed. 
• Collect Pattern Recognition data to help improve user experience. 
• Influence accessibility standards. 
• Mapping out where users spend the most time. 
• Mentor other junior members of the team, to include Designers but also ensure processes are being followed throughout the delivery teams. 

What You'll Need to Succeed: 

• 8-15+ years of experience working on large scale web applications 
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field 
• UX Design tools 
• Usability testing experience 
• Prototyping and Wireframing tools 
• Graphic design tools 
• Ability to demonstrate UX design principles.
