Ui/Ux Designer

While this position is eligible for hybridizaiton, the person hired must be local to the Rockford, Illinois area.

Responsibilities:

• Applies user feedback, industry best practices, and emerging trends to drive overall site development.
• Creates wireframes and prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts, iterating based on feedback.
• Designs intuitive interactions that guide users through the website seamlessly, considering hierarchy and navigation flow.
• Applies principles of typography, color theory, and layout design and uses responsive design techniques on the website.
• Conducts user and industry research on user needs, preferences, and behaviors.
• Plans and conducts usability tests to evaluate the effectiveness of design solutions, Leads and performs QA testing on new and existing functionality.
• Regularly updates and edits the online product catalog with new products, pricing information, image and copy changes.
• Manages prioritization process and strategy implementaiton for SEO, search, and lead development efforts (including PPC).
• Designs visually appealing and engaging email campaigns using MailChimp. Uses website marketing automation to grow email file.
• Partners with other team members to integarate a CRM system into the website, manage CRM data, and support personalized user experiences and targeted marketing campaigns.
• Generates and analyzes monthly progress on established KPIs related to website performance, user engagement, convesrion rates, and other relevant metrics.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, web design, computer science, or related field.
• Five years experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role, preferably in an e-commerce or manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in web development technologies, particularly .NET, with the ability to collaborate effectively with programmers and developers. Proficiency with Sketch, Adobe, XD, or Figma
• Strong understanding of UX/UI prinicples including user research, wireframing, prototyping, uability testing and responsive design.
• Experience with SEO best practices and tools wtih a track record of improving search engine rankings and driving organic traffic.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
• Familiarity with Google Anlytics.
• Understanding of accessibility and best practices.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
