Hospital seeking Utilization Review RN to work 13 week assignment. 40 hour work week/ Day shift 8:00am-5:00pm
Shifts: 5x8's. 2-3 years minimum experience required. Will need to work weekends and holidays as needed. No on-call requirements. BSN required. CA RN, BLS required. Must have OB/NICU/PACU experience. Post hire - must complete Eligibility Academy/Training Programs and respective examination offered through AHS within timeframe determined by supervisor. May need to float to other departments or campuses as needed.
Initial contract will be remote. If offered an extension, extension WILL BE ONSITE. No exceptions.
$2920.00 gross per 40 hour work week.

Job Summary:
The Utilization Review Nurse is accountable for processing authorizations, applying medical criteria, benefits verification, pre-registration, communication to providers, payers and patients, appeals, and coordination with Utilization Review and Referral Management team. This position is responsible for performing core utilization management functions in a timely manner. Provides key essential clinical and administrative support to ensure pre-registration and support utilization management operations are smooth and timely. Primarily responsible for deciphering medical criteria from payers, submitting authorization requests to health plans or medical groups and communicating with providers, patients and other external entities. Performs related duties as required.
