Job Summary
The Utility Person is responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas not assigned to other employees when working as a custodian. Cleans all pots, pans, kettles, and other miscellaneous tools used in food preparation when assigned to pots areas.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas not assigned to other employees when working as a custodian.
- Cleans all pots, pans, kettles, and other miscellaneous tools used in food preparation when assigned to pots areas.
- Washes, sanitizes, and returns to proper location all dirty items.
- Operates dishwasher during serving times and returns clean dishes to proper location.
- Operates cleaning equipment as needed. Daily removes trash and cardboard from the building.
- Keeps area clean, safe and organized.
- Clean designated equipment in the cafeteria serving area and food production area.
- Assists in other department positions as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory
- Three months experience as custodian or pot washer desired, but not mandatory.
- Ability to follow instructions: must be able to learn all aspects of the position in short period of time.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Moderate physical activity.
- Able to work fluctuating hours.
