MISSION STATEMENT

SUMMARY
To communicate the need for Utility Outages across the division while collaborating with key stakeholders and Project Management teams.

Coordination of Utility Outages while using collaboration across the division. Thoroughly evaluate all outage requests and outage meeting communications and identify the need for work notifications due to possible effects to their area so that our key stakeholders have say as to when the work can be performed in their area.
Communication in processing outage requests: Work with assigned business unit management, supervision, craftsmen, clients and project managers to communicate all phases of outages throughout multiple crafts until completion of outage. Communicate in a professional manner all of the requested information required per the service agreements to get the outage completed in a timely manner.
Support system updates: Update customer contact list, FON Groups (Outlook) FON Groups Outage Producation Data Base.
Participate as PAC member
Develop and maintain sites and pages within area of responsibility (ex. business unit, community, team)
Enforce internal processes (file storage, archive, announcements, etc)
Conduct meetings with members in area of responsibility
Suggest and assist with site and page content changes to suit business need
Triage issues from contributors to site manager (maintain issues list)
Evaluate contributor training need
Provide direction and access to training
Champion use of FM Portal
Assigned area. Business unit outage meetings: Outage coordinators must attend weekly meetings and address all phases of each outage in their assigned business unit. Employee should also update the outage production database Calendar before the business units weekly meeting .
Process Improvement Process improvement: Sr. Outage coordinators are required to involve their, Peers & supervisor of any complex problem so that the team can breakdown the obstacle and identify a future solution and process improvement.
Critical Outage Coordination Senior Outage Coordinator is responsible for processing critical patient care and lab outages in very sensitive areas as well as for large projects. Example: Emergency power system affecting multiple areas or floors with key stake holder equipment or life support systems. Also responsible for mentoring Outage Coordinators in the outage process so that they also gain the same knowledge for processing high profile outages during high demand periods. Sr coordinators are also viewed as Outage subject matter experts.
Reduce Utility Outage impacts for the division. Evaluate each outage request and explore the possibility of combining existing outages in the database as well as foreseen O&M maintenance opportunities to lessen the impact to our institution and our key stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent. Three years of construction field experience or facilities operations and maintenance experience.
