An Exciting opportunity to make history with us as the Utah State Manager for American Promise. American Promise is leading a fast-growing, service-oriented national campaign to pass and ratify the For Our Freedom Amendment to the United States Constitution. The amendment would empower Congress and the States to reduce the influence of money in politics. American Promise is expanding its proven state-based strategy to unite Americans to solve this urgent crisis. As the State Manager, you will develop and drive strategy and communications to mobilize and organize public support among Utah voters, and then translate that public support into action by the state legislature in favor of the For Our Freedom Amendment. This will be a multi-year effort, with a focus on securing candidate pledges up and down the ballot in 2024, and then leveraging those pledges in a legislative campaign in 2025.
The ideal candidate will have:
Exceptional Interpersonal & cross functional communication skills- Experience with Advocacy tools & Technology (digital petitions, phone-banking, voter databases)
- Ability to develop, articulate and implement effective Strategy and vision
- Effective positive relationship building with legislators, staff and community partners
- Sound Budgetary & fund management competence; revenue projection, fundraising, ROI
- Outstanding organizational, results driven, analytical, & critical thinking skills
- Proficient Leadership abilities
This is a full time, exempt position with an annual salary of $90K. Flexibility to work as needed is a must. Drivers license and access to transportation and use of personal cell phone required.
