Occupational Summary:
- The Pre-Owned Sales Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager and General Sales Manager in planning, organizing and controlling the activities of the used vehicle sales department and in measuring the performance of the employees in the department.
Essential Job Functions:
- Appraise and purchase vehicles using V Auto software.
- Able to price pre-owned inventory
- Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
- Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.
- Attend Manager’s meetings as requested
- Assist the General Manager and General Sales Manager in forecasting controllable expense elements for the used vehicle sales department.
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect new and used vehicle sales.
- Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of all sales department employees.
- Oversee the efforts of the sales people to enhance the image and customer satisfaction ratings of the dealership.
- Monitor sales peoples’ payroll records.
- Set sales and gross objectives for sales people.
- Guide sales staff in setting their objectives on a short and long range basis.
- Conduct sales training meetings as directed by the general manager or general Sales Manager or dealer.
- Develop and implement programs that will increase the used vehicle gross and increase F&I penetration.
- Develop, implement and monitor the use of desking, Vin Solutions, V Auto (etc) and other tools provided by the company.
- Availability requires Monday - Friday 9am - 7pm and Saturdays 9am - 5pm, including some holidays.
Qualifications:
**Automotive Sales experience of 3+ years, required**
**Automotive Pre-Owned Management of 1+ years, required**
Ability to sell minimum quota according to dealership standards
Valid & active in-state driver’s license.
Professional personal appearance
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, both verbal and written.
Ability to operate smart phone, tablet and/or PC
