Job Description
Assembler 1 is responsible for the assembly and test of Hillrom cardiology products per the written procedure and quality systems requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform bench assembly, testing and packing on sub or finished unit assemblies according to assembly procedures (i.e. BOM, DHR, Work Instructions, etc.).
- Ensure use of most up to date procedures by using ERP system (SAP).
- Perform basic troubleshooting on assemblies which does not require a technician.
- Complete all appropriate forms and DHRs legibly and correctly for the assemblies they are working on following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Cross train into multiple positions/products as directed by production supervisor
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor
- Adhere to the Quality System.
- Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in their work.
- Apply continuous improvement thinking by suggesting improvements for their work areas and job functions to reduce costs and lead time.
- Follow standard work (manufacturing procedures) as written.
Essential competencies:
- Education and prior work experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Requirements for this position include 0-1 years manufacturing assembly experience
- Prior experience in a medical device company a plus.
- Fluent in English (both written and oral)
- Ability to read and understand Work Instructions and Bill of Materials
- Basic Computer skills
- 0-1 years experience working with SAP
- Physical demands and work environment:
- Up to 30 lbs. lifting
- Ability to sit and/or stand throughout the workday.
