Position Description:
The US Payroll Manager will ensure successful US payroll processing and have oversight for all payroll-related platforms, including payroll and timekeeping systems. The position will support attendance management and ensure appropriate audit controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management and oversight of all US payroll and payroll-related platforms, including SAP, ADP, UKG Dimensions
- Ensure accurate processing of complex payroll with many cadences: Calculation of wages and processing of tax withholding and company deductions for all US locations
- Ensure appropriate paid time off, set up, and payment
- Ensure plant adherence to payroll related FSPs and Audit Controls
- Ensure appropriate review, approval, and sign-off on employee time cards
- Assist employees with escalated payroll-related questions
- Ensure appropriate configuration in payroll and timekeeping systems
- Oversight for all HR-related integration files, both incoming and outgoing, from internal/external vendors and platforms
- Partner with HR to enter new hire information into HRIS/payroll systems, including tax information for new hires, terminations, leave of absences, and review other change of statuses
- Assist/train supervisors with timekeeping and system attendance tracking questions as necessary
- Ongoing work with plant HR to review current work instructions and process improvements as related to the HR/payroll functions
- Ensure discreet handling of all business with employees and managers, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
- Assist and support other HR functions as needed
- 5+ years of experience in a payroll processing or support role
- SuccessFactors HRIS experience a plus
- Experience with SAP, ADP, or other payroll system; Ability to create queries, standard and ad-hoc reports in any HRIS/payroll system
- Experience with Kronos Workforce Dimensions a plus
- Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
- Self-starter with strong customer service skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task while staying organized and time management
- Keen eye for detail; Ability to be precise, accurate, and prioritize duties accordingly
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree a plus
- Less than 10% required
