Job Description
Wilkes University invites applicants for an open Calculus teaching position in the Upward Bound program. Upward Bound is a federally funded Trio program, which provides support to high school students in career exploration and their preparation for college; ultimately, in their higher education pursuits.
The successful candidate is responsible for implementing the academic component of the program by means of teaching the desired subject to a small group of high school level students in structured class periods. A Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
Dates run through our spring semester from February 1st through April 18th. Classes are held on Thursday nights from 6:30 PM - 8:20 PM. The candidate will be responsible for a single, one hour, period. This is a part-time, temporary position with a competitive hourly rate.
