Schedule: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Three Weekends per Month
Salary Range: $15.00 - $22.50

As a Unit Secretary you will:
- Be responsible for assisting with the planning, organizing, and coordinating of day-to-day functions of the unit.
- Register patients for both Inpatient and Emergency Department and monitor and respond to registration work que errors. Complete Mobile Intensive Care Unit/ER registrations when needed.
- Answer unit telephone and direct calls, document messages and relay them to appropriate party.
- Assist with scheduling for acute and skilled unit staff scheduling, including reaching out to agencies for assistance when needed.
- Assist with coordination of new employee orientation, onboarding, and scheduling.
- Work within electronic medical record (EMR) software to perform necessary duties.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all patient, resident, personnel information, and all other hospital information.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- High school graduate or GED required.
- Proficiency in computer skills required, specifically Microsoft Office.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) current or attained within 60 days of hire.
- Mandatory Reporter Certification current or attained within 60 days of hire.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Previous experience in a medical or customer service setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Skilled in oral and written communications.
- Adaptability to accepting responsibility for the direction, control, or planning of an activity.
- Ability to maintain a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers, patients, and visitors.
