WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Serve as liaison/unit representative.
• Greet and assist patients, visitors, physicians, students, and staff contacts consulting physicians and answer call lights.
• Place room notification (i.e. magnets, signs) for patients who are fall risks, have wounds, or on isolation precautions.
• Assist with transporting patients.
• Assist with patient turning and lifting.
• Provides unit support by assisting with bed assignments and maintaining accurate patient locations in Epic.
• Maintains supplies and office equipment, including downtime devices as well as logs maintenance repairs and maintenance of unit statistics.
• Maintains staff assignments and phone lists to ensure efficient operation of the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred High School Diploma/GED
• 1 year Healthcare related experience
  Preferred
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
• Health Unit Clerk (HUC) - .
