Unit Secretary / Medical Assistant

We are looking for a Full Time Unit Secretary/Medical Assistant to join our team.

Job Duties Include:

• Scheduling follow-up patient appointments
• Compiling chart documents
• Registering patient information such as insurance or disability/work status information,
• Assisting patient with diagnostic and surgery instructions
• Following up with patient messages and refill requests
• Assisting the back office Medical Assistants with rooming patients, including taking medical histories as needed
• Maintaining exam rooms
• Stocking supplies
• Disinfecting equipment and instruments

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Familiarity with all insurance types

Experience:

• Experience with EMR/EHR clinical software (NextGen, EPIC)
• 2 years previous experience in medical office preferred

License/Certification:

• Certified Medical Assistant (Required)

Pay Range:

$20.00 to $23.00 per Hour

*Higher compensation may be available for someone with advanced skills and/or experience
