Department Specific Competencies
Acknowledges patients and family members as they come to front station.
- Answers patients call lights via intercom system and alerts appropriate personnel to patient’s needs. Reports matters requiring nursing intervention immediately requests hospital services for patients by placing calls to appropriate areas attends to call lights and ensures appropriate notification and follow through to personnel with pagers or voice mail
- Ensures the ordering of supplies required to maintain appropriate stock levels in the department
Participates in organizing, filing and or scanning all information in the patient’s medical chart.
