Resident Wellness Coordinator

Job Summary

The Resident Wellness Coordinator is responsible for promoting and maintaining the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents in a senior living community. This position involves developing and implementing wellness programs, coordinating health services, and providing support to residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate staffing schedule for the Resident Care Department on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Maintain CPR/First Aid records for staff and schedule trainings when they are needed
• Maintain bi-weekly Attendance Records for the Resident Care team and communicate with the Resident Wellness Director when an employee is in need of a counseling
• Communicate with doctors, families, and management staff to assist with maintaining Resident records
• Assist in covering open shifts by working as a caregiving and/or medication assistant (ICC will train to be an MA if not already trained)
• Communicate staffing needs with the Resident Wellness Director on a regular basis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health-related field preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors in a healthcare or wellness setting preferred as caregiver and/or med tech
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of health and wellness best practices for seniors
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy
• Current PA medication certification and diabetic certification

Physical Demands

This position may require standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time. The Resident Wellness Coordinator may also need to lift or move equipment or supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
