Underground Utility Laborer

We are currently seeking Utility Underground Laborers. We service all types of facilities including: concrete plants, warehouses, port facilities, treatment plants, hospitals, and industrial manufacturing facilities.

Applicants must possess the following traits/capabilities:

• Be able to measure, cut, assemble, and install electrical underground conduit.
• Must be able to hand trim trenches and dig with shovels when necessary.
• Must be able to clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (Spanish speaking abilities a definite plus).
• Must be self-disciplined, trustworthy, and able to work productively with minimal supervision.
• Must have a good driving record with minimal infractions.
• Must have a background suitable for working in schools, hospitals, and other government facilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to climb in and out of trenches.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Must work outside in all weather conditions consistent with extreme ambient temperatures: heat, cold, wetness, dryness, dust, and noisy conditions.
