About the Starbucks Summer Internship Program:
Starbucks internships are paid, 10-week assignments (June - August 2024) at the Starbucks Support Center in Seattle - our corporate headquarters. Note: Each student that successfully completes this internship may be considered for full-time career openings upon completion of a Bachelor's degree program.
About Starbucks Partner Resources (HR)
The Global Learning, Leadership & Cultural Experiences team works across our company owned Retail organization, Retail licensees and all support teams to provide training, development and experiences which reinforce our role and behavior expectations as well as create an emotional connection to our mission, values and Starbucks heritage.
As a member of this team, your core project focuses on working with our learning teams to support these retail and support partners (our name for our employees) to create consistent, accessible materials aligned to our role and behavior expectations and approaches.
This internship will give you broader exposure as we work across U.S. and international Retail Operations, HR teams and our own Learning Content Development team. You will develop important skills including professional communication, project management, advanced Office 365 skills and technical writing, as well as usage of tools and resources specific to our team.
As an undergraduate intern in Partner Resources (HR), you will...

We'd love to hear from students with:
- Ability to facilitate live training in-person and virtually
- Knowledge of creating learner content and experiences for digital, paper and in person learning events
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
Knowledge of concepts, techniques and tools relating to coordinating and tracking projects
Analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
Basic understanding of Office 365 products
Attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong ability to build relationships and interpersonal skills.
A sense of curiosity and eagerness to learn
A passion for the Starbucks brand
We are requesting a PowerPoint sample that you will submit with your application (attach like you attach your resume): Choose a "lesson" to deliver via PowerPoint. Any topic or subject is fine. Please "teach" the subject in 5-6 slides or less using visuals and clear communication.
Internship Program Qualifications: (undergrad)
Active enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's degree
Targeted graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025
Recommended Majors: Instructional Design, Human Resources, Business focusing on Leadership Development
Recommended (but not required) minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0
Ability to work full time from June-August 2024
Available to relocate to Seattle, WA
