Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. This internship will be a full-time role for approximately full-time in summer (3 months) and part-time during the school year (20 hours a week for 3 months) and includes both project-based and experiential learning. The intern will be an integral member of the R&D Strategy and Operations (RDSO) organization, which is focused on driving innovation beyond the molecule and applying digital strategies to simplify processes. The functional area within RDSO is:

As a member of Amgen's RDSO Organization, your work will be highly collaborative across multiple functions and levels within Amgen, including for example, Research & Development, Digital Technology & Innovation and others. You will be uniquely responsible for one or more key projects that will advance RDSO’s mission, including the following:

  • Developing a project charter to map out objectives and identify key stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of data analysis tools; capturing and organizing lab asset data to enable assessment and increase productivity

  • Leveraging your analytical, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work in teams, identify problems, develop recommendations through qualitative and quantitative analysis, and deliver final projects

  • Presenting your deliverables/findings through various forums including an intern-wide poster session and a final readout to executive management

  • You will also be engaged in learning activities, networking with colleagues across the company, and enjoying full access to Amgen’s Employee Resource Groups
