Undergrad Intern - Operations (Intra-Semester)

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. This 9-10 week intra-semester internship will be in Amgen Global Supply Chain (GSC), with a 10-15 hour per week commitment. Amgen GSC’s mission is to enable growth and maximize ​profitability by partnering across the value chain, balancing agility and efficiency, while ensuring quality and service and provide Amgen with world-class planning, procurement, warehousing, and distribution services that deliver a competitive advantage.​

With the support of their hiring manager, the intern:

  • Will develop a strategy that may result in a meaningful change to the business.

  • Will work cross-functionally to measure the current state, clarify the problem, and develop recommendations through qualitative and quantitative analysis using their analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an Undergrad Internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

  • 18 years or older

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent

  • Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing

  • Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university

  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship OR co-op

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree concentration(s) in Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, OR related discipline such as, but not limited to, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering

  • 2-4 years of lab experience

  • Strong basic lab skills

  • Ability to learn new experimental methods

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to conduct research

  • Ability to manage multiple projects consecutively

  • Demonstrated ability to bring structure to complex problems, pragmatic scoping and problem-solving approach, ability to objectively evaluate options/trade-offs and develop executive management-level recommendations

  • Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory policies

The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $24.70 - $28.30.
