Ultrasound Technician - Part Time, Prn

Universal Medicine is seeking a part-time, bilingual (English/Spanish) Ultrasound Technician to join our growing practice to increase our services to include in-office ultrasonography. This is a part-time position (starting at 2 full days per week) in an amazing office setting within a diverse community.

Universal Medicine is searching for a team player that will help expand our services by utilizing their knowledge as an Ultrasound Technician to help our patients with their diagnostic needs. Our sonographer would be responsible for using our state-of-the-art new ultrasound equipment to image full body scans. The sonographer's duties will include imaging appropriate body structures (full body, pelvis, bladder pre and post void, full abdominal, thyroid, soft tissue, venous, etc.), calibrating ultrasound equipment, uploading images into the system for the radiologist to review, obtaining radiologic reports, filing reports into patient’s charts, and maintaining the ultrasound area as a clean, neat, and professional environment. The ideal candidate MUST have a minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technician, MUST have experience doing full-body scans, and MUST speak fluent English and Spanish.

The duties of an Ultrasound Technician go beyond diagnosing ailments. Other responsibilities include:

• Using sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Preparing the exam room for examinations
• Reporting to the appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that require immediate attention
• Maintaining sonography equipment
• Managing several patients and being able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• Working under minimal supervision and cooperating with other team members

Education and Work Experience:

• Graduate an accredited ultrasound program
• Current experience preferred
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate
• Proficient computer skills

Education:

• Associate Degree (Required)

License/Certification:

• ARRT Certification, RVT, ARDMS or RVS CCI

* All staff and patients are required to wear masks in the office. Upon hire, proof of COVID vaccination is required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• No weekends
