Job Description
A renowned medical organization is looking to immediately hire a Full-time/Part-time highly experienced, compassionate Ultrasound technician in Paramus, NJ. The Ultrasound Technician candidate must have at least 3 years of experience and an active NJ medical license. The organization offers $40-$45 per hour, plus hefty employment packages including paid time off (PTO), medical, and malpractice insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound examinations using state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation,
- Conduct obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound procedures, including transabdominal and transvaginal scans, fetal biometry, anatomical surveys, and Doppler studies,
- Assist healthcare providers during procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and ultrasound-guided interventions,
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during ultrasound examinations by explaining procedures and addressing concerns or questions,
- Obtain and record patient medical histories and clinical information relevant to the ultrasound examination,
- Analyze and evaluate ultrasound images, identifying and documenting normal and abnormal findings for physician interpretation,
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to review and discuss ultrasound findings, providing the necessary information for patient management and treatment planning,
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring its proper functionality, and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed,
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound imaging through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Certification as an ultrasound technician.
- 3 years of experience working as an ultrasound technician, preferably in a women's health setting.
- Proficiency in performing obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations, including transabdominal and transvaginal scans, fetal biometry, and Doppler studies.
- Strong knowledge of female reproductive anatomy and physiology.
- Familiarity with ultrasound equipment and technology, including 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging.
- Excellent technical skills in obtaining high-quality ultrasound images and optimizing image quality.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze and evaluate ultrasound images accurately.
Schedule
- Weekday plus some weekend
