Job Description

Summary of Need:
- Schedules patients for examinations.
- Receives & explains to the patients on ultrasound procedure; answers all related questions as required.
- Obtains clinical data prior to examinations; consults with Physician regarding patient history and to determine appropriate action.
- Prepares patient for ultrasound examination, performs the procedure and communicates results of diagnostic examination to the Physician.
- Assists in the selection of software and imaging parameters, has knowledge in equipment positioning; returns equipment to its original location after each procedure.
- Develops results, and is responsible for the quality of scans.
- Monitors patients status during procedure and reports changes to appropriate staff.
- Maintains equipment and performs diagnostic testing, when needed.
- Effectively uses & has prior knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 1 year General Registered Ultrasound experience
- RDMS Registered
- Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by American Radiologic Diagnostic Medical
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by American Radiologic Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required. BLS preferred.
Shift/Schedule:
4pm-12am with alternating weekends Rotating weekends is a requirement and workers must report as scheduled including holidays.

13 weeks
