Allied - RRT PICU

Client Summary:
Founded in 1901, our client is a 667-bed tertiary care regional teaching hospital that provides comprehensive health care. Our client is home to one of the nation's top 10 heart transplant centers, which has performed more than 1,000 heart transplants.
Summary of Need:

• Monitoring patient physiological responses to therapy such as arterial blood gases, vital signs or blood chemistry, and lung function changes, and consulting with physicians if there are adverse reactions.
• Working as part of a team of health care professionals to manage patient care by assisting with medical procedures.
• Setting up and operating devices including therapeutic gas administration apparatus, mechanical ventilators, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.
• Following specified parameters of treatment.
• Providing emergency care, such as external cardiac massage, artificial respiration, or assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Inspecting, testing, cleaning, and maintaining respiratory therapy equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining charts that contain patient identification and therapy information.
• Measuring arterial blood gases, reading prescriptions, lung capacity, and reviewing other information to assess patient condition.
• Relaying blood analysis results to a physician.
• Making emergency visits to resolve equipment problems when necessary.
• Ordering equipment repairs when necessary.
• Checking pulmonary function in patients.

• No on call…
• Block/special scheduling cannot be accommodated unless approved at time of booking; RTO Must be included with submission…
• 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting required - Outpatient experience is a plus.
• Patient ratio is variable…
• Patient Mix: PICU/NICU
• Must be highly skilled and well versed in VDR and Nitric Oxide…
• Must have HFOV, HFJV , SERVO 1, Servo U and PB 980 experience…
• Peds (PICU) /Neonatal (NICU) experience is preferred...
• BLS required…
• NRP preferred…
• Must have NJ License…
• CRT or RRT is acceptable…[12/27]
• First time traveler accepted…
• Travel pairs are not accepted…
• EPIC charting…
