Job Summary and Qualifications

To perform standard echocardiography procedures, including 2D, M-mode, Doppler and Color flow Doppler. This job may also include Transesophogeal Echos, Stress Echo, Chemical Stress Echo, Transthoracic. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.

• Performs standard echocardiograpy procedures, including 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler and Color Flow techniques.
• Performs specialty echocardiography procedures, including Transesophogeal echocardiograms, stress echocardiogreams, and Nuclear Stress Echocardiograms.
• Performs routine cleaning preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to include coordination of maintenance with other departments and outside service coordinator
• Charges and documents patient testing.
• Review and disseminate report results to appropriate caregivers.
• Follows hospital policies and procedures, supports and performs performance improvement activities, and assists with the preparation of monthly statistic reports

 What qualifications you will need:

• Preferred experience: 2 years or has interned in the Memorial ECHO lab
• Graduate of an approved course of instruction in echocardiography, cardiovascular technology, or has completed approved on the job training.
  
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  
• Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Ultrasonographer
  
• Basic Cardiac Life Support and - 1 of the following: RDMS, RDCS, or RCVT. ACLS required in a physician practice.
