What you do:
- Under direction of the radiologist, utilizes equipment producing two/ three dimensional high frequency sound waves to create diagnostic images of the human body for use in diagnosis of disease or organ malfunctions.
- Participate with physicians in reading sonographs and making diagnostic judgments based on test results.
What you need:
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (RVT) or (ARRT). If registry eligible, must be registered by the ARDMS or ARRT in ultrasound within 1 year of your hire date. Preferred additional (ARRT)(RT
- registered CPR BLS Certification, thru American Heart Association
- Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of sonography or radiology
- Experience: Experience necessary to demonstrate competence. 1 year experience preferred.
