Job Title: UI/UX Designer
Location-Type: 100% Remote
Start Date Is: ASAP
Duration: Contract
Compensation Range: $50-55 Per Hour W2
- The estimate above represents the candidate's typical compensation range at the time of hire. Several factors may be utilized to determine your salary including but not limited to years of experience and specific skillsets compared to employees in this role. Candidates typically start at the lower half of the estimated range.
- This role is eligible to enroll in both Mondo's health insurance plan and retirement plan. In addition to this, this role is entitled to company-paid holidays, paid time off and Mondo's FUEL program.
Requirements :
Finessing the design and applying the visual design to align w/ the design systems
Blending look and feel
Responsible for working w/ engineering and delivering the final draft in the responsive grid for desktop & mobile view
Responsible for each sprints goal
Communicate w/ the scrum master and sprint team
Design will go through an approval process
Expert in Figma
Need an extra set of hands to complete projects by June 1st (current budget) - will be evaluated after b/c new budget starts June 1 st
Fully remote - EST hours are a must
Looking at the current design and refining it
Education technology is a nice to have but not a must
Portfolio-
What are they looking for directly in a port:
Someone who can take wireframes into the design - need examples
Clean visual design - not actual branding design but finessing - responsible for delivering
Working w/ design systems
Great taste - simple, easy to understand/use visualization
Knowledge of data visualization - A BIG plus
Primarily clean, contemporary work is the most important
Nature of the main project - consuming the content - actual teaching and learning experience- actual product- not e-commerce side
They will provide the typography and size but still want them to weigh in on finessing the design
Proactive thinker, and problem solver, grasp the goal behind the project, education projects serve a purpose
Cognitive bandwidth to understand the problem and solution
Content browsing solutions - content-driven product
Platform thinking in terms of laying out content - cohesive access point
Understanding of content delivery and different behaviors
Already have the concrete wireframe
Communication through Microsoft teams
Years of Experience: 4 years of experience (cannot be under 2 years of experience)
If they have more years of experience that is fine
Must-Haves:
Figma, Sketch, XD
UI visual design
Experience w/ design systems
Clean, simple visual design
Take wireframes into visual design
Work w/ the engineering team
Expert in Figma. (and sketch and XD)
Around 4 years of experience as a UI and visual designer
Strong knowledge of the design systems, UI components
Strong knowledge of responsive design and accessibility
Responsible for delivering the final design to the engineering team
Clean, simple, professional yet inviting product visual design
