UI Designer
Location: Atlanta, GA (midtown)

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility
As a UI Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our web applications and internal & website forms. Your expertise in responsive design, complex workflows, and atomic design principles will be critical to our success.

This UI Designer will be focused on modernizing the core applications that support our "As a Service" business. This position will enable us to successfully deliver business capabilities using modern user interface principles.
Positions Summary & Key Areas of Responsibilities:
User Interface Design:

• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to define and implement innovative solutions for our web products and Web forms.
• Translate high-level requirements into interaction flows, wireframes, and visual artifacts.
• Create beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces that work seamlessly across devices.
• Leverage AI-driven prototype building platforms such as Adobe Sensei, Figma's FigJam, or other AI-enhanced tools to design visually compelling and interactive web application interfaces.

Complex Flow Design:

• Design complex user flows that involve combinations of forms, data entry, documents, and interactive tools.
• Ensure smooth navigation and usability, even in intricate scenarios.
• Optimize user interactions for efficiency and clarity.
• Improve web forms to increase conversion and build a better customer experience.

Atomic Design:

• Apply atomic design principles to create reusable components and design systems.
• Develop consistent UI patterns and elements that can be easily assembled into cohesive interfaces.
• Use platform and industry standard Form Design that align with users' expectations to minimize confusion and increases the usability of the interface in order to create a positive user experience and promote conversions.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure consistent implementation.

Collaboration with Engineering:

• Work closely with the engineering team to understand technical constraints and opportunities.
• Produce design artifacts (such as style guides, component libraries, and design tokens) that facilitate efficient development.
• Highlight the importance of tools like Storybook for documenting and showcasing UI components.
• Utilize AI-driven tools to rapidly prototype and iterate on design solutions, using real-time user data and feedback to inForm Design decisions.

Attention to Detail:

• Pay meticulous attention to visual details, typography, spacing, and color, especially on forms, documents, and questionnaires.
• Ensure pixel-perfect execution of designs.
• Conduct thorough quality checks before hand-off to development.

Speed and Efficiency:

• Be agile and responsive in your design process.
• Iterate quickly based on feedback and changing requirements.
• Balance speed with maintaining design excellence.

Basic Qualifications:

• Portfolio: Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive web interfaces and examples with forms and documents. Links to portfolio or work examples are required (and it's highly preferred to provide examples of forms/documents).
• Tools: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Complex Flows: Experience designing complex user flows, including forms, data entry, and interactive elements.
• Atomic Design: Familiarity with atomic design principles and the ability to create modular UI components.
• Development Collaboration: Familiarity with tools like Storybook for documenting UI components. Solid understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and their integration with AI-driven design prototypes.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to Detail: Obsessive about visual consistency and precision.
• Consistency: Strong knowledge of industry and platform standards in Form Design andForm Design principles that meet and enhance user expectations.
• Speed: Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality.
• AI Driven Design: Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and its application in designing conversational UIs.
• Data Driven Design: Background in data visualization and the ability to interpret and incorporate complex data sets into intuitive designs.
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to present to a diverse audience (business, technical, and leadership) and clearly communicate across diverse cultures and time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience designing for As-A-Service environments.
• Mobile App Design: Experience designing for mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
• Prototyping: Proficiency in creating interactive prototypes.
• User Research: Basic understanding of user research methodologies.
• CSS Design: Understanding of styling using CSS and exposure to frameworks like Tailwind, and SAS.
