Job Summary: The Turndown Attendant provides services in the evening that impresses the guest when they return from an evening out. The services of the Turn Down Attendant add the element of luxury to our guests stay. Responsible for, but not limited to, the turndown and servicing of occupied guest units, the security and privacy of guests, reporting any engineering issues, and responding to guests needs.

Benefits Available

Full time team members are eligible for benefits after 30 days of employment. These Florida Blue benefits include a traditional PPO plan with co-payments, a high deductible PPO plan with a Health Savings Account (H.S.A.), or an HMO (Health Managed Organization). If you select the plan with the H.S.A, the company contributes to your account (prorated based on start date).

There are two dental plans through MetLife; one with traditional coverage and one with orthodontic coverage. Our vision plan is through EyeMed. St. Joe covers the cost of the short-term disability insurance, so you are always covered in the event of an unexpected illness. We cover a percentage of the cost for your long-term disability insurance. We want you to not have financial stress if life throws you a curve.

We know that you do not want to work for the rest of your life and St. Joe is committed to helping you achieve that goal. Our 401K plan is managed through Vanguard and is a safe harbor plan which holds a guarantee of our commitment to matching your contributions. We match 100% of your first 3% of your earnings and 50% of your next 2%.

Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Make and turn down bed for guest
  • Prepare room by adjusting lighting and closing curtains
  • Tidy room, remove trash and replenish amenities
  • Provide fresh towels
  • Dry shower
  • Leave a nightly treat for guest
  • Monitor and control supplies and amenities and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping
  • Transport turndown cart with cleaning supplies, turndown/guest room amenities and linens to assigned guest room and position securely
  • Provide turndown service to designated rooms on assignment sheet
  • Remove all dirty terry and linen and replace with clean ones to designated layout.
  • Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures.
  • Assist with any other reasonable request
  • All other duties as assigned

WaterColor Inn:

  • Tidy room, neatly fold and arrange garments and belongings, hang up any wet towels or garments to dry, remove trash and replenish amenities
  • Clean off balcony and ensure it is ready for guest use
  • Set up sofa bed if needed
  • Provide fresh towels

Education and Experience:

  • Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in basic English preferred
  • Some luxury resort experience preferred but not mandatory

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Detail oriented and thorough
  • Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
  • Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
  • Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues related to position independently
  • Ability to work as a part of a team
  • Knowledge of basic housekeeping
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Immaculate personal presentation
  • Holds high quality standards for production and service

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs
  • Frequent climbing of stairs

Working Conditions:

  • Indoors
  • You may be exposed to cleaning chemicals ( PPE provided)
