Ts/Sci Software Engineer

*Candidates MUST have an active TS/SCI clearance per client requirements*

Location: Aurora, CO (100% Onsite)

Pay Range: $55-85/hr

Insight Global is hiring for multiple Software Engineers to support a large government prime located in the Aurora, Colorado area. The position requires onsite Monday-Friday. The Software Engineer will with a team of skilled Software Engineers developing Java and C++ code supporting the evolution and adaptation of ground stations as the volume of data grows, using complex algorithms to process all the bits and bytes received and turn them into useable information for the end users who consume this data.

Desired skills:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or 5+ years of relevant Software Engineering experience
• Software development experience using Java and C++
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles

Plusses

• Experience working with the Atlassian Tool suite.
• Experience developing software in an Agile and/or DevOps environments.
• Previous work satellite GPS software desirable.
• Experience with one or more areas of satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics models

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Develop and maintain Java-based backend applications for satellite ground systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement robust server-side solutions.
• Modify and improve existing codebases for enhanced performance and scalability.
• Conduct software design and code reviews, integrating best practices and innovations.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
• Participate in system integration and project milestone completion under guidance from supervisors.
• Keep abreast of advancements in Java and related technologies to drive continuous innovation.
