A DAY IN THE LIFE!Daily, you will work with new drivers to facilitate their onboarding, direct classes, and answer questions that arise. You will collaborate with a wide array of personnel to ensure that all classes and learning objectives are completed as scheduled.

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Facilitate the successful onboarding of new drivers by managing orientation classes and ensuring adherence to the distributed schedule.
- Administer and evaluate road tests, quizzes, and securement.
- Coach, educate, and regulate orientation processes regarding safety procedures, DOT compliance, FMCSA regulations, CMV operation, securement, trailer loading and operation, and tarping.
- Ensure the timely completion of orientation documentation and advise new drivers of applicable policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
- Phenomenal communication that will foster a positive learning environment with a variety of personalities.
- Proven ability to teach and adapt teaching styles to work with varying learning styles.
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Prior experience in a role with public speaking in groups of approximately 10 people.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Employment is contingent upon completion of the SPD employment process (including a background check).
- 1+ year(s) of experience within the transportation industry.
- Active Class A CDL License.
- Previous experience securing flatbed freight including the tarping of dynamic freight.
- Salary: $21.63 - $26.44 per hour, decided based on experience.
- Schedule: Full-time on-site; Monday - Friday.
