SalaryResponsible for thedelivery of products to customers.
Duties:
- Execute pre-op procedures prior to departure from warehouse per Delivery SOP
- Log in to ELD prior to departure and complete pre-trip inspection.
- Utilize ELD equipment for Pre & Post Inspections
- Maintain and secure equipment for ELD technology.
- Follow SQF HACCP & Food Defense procedures during delivery.
- Strict adherence to personal hygiene outlined in the SQF HACCP policies and Employee Handbook
- Be aware of allergens and proper handling procedures for delivery of orders containing products with known allergens and/or high-risk products.
- ALLERGEN control is a necessary part of your job.
- Complete documentation as required by SQF HACCP Plans and driver manifest.
- Clean all equipment (truck and cab), food handling equipment (hand truck, and pallets, and breakdown hand trucks) per SSOPs.
- Deliver products to customers per customer delivery windows.
- Determine overages and/or shortages of products at delivery, correcting mistakes and reporting to the Day Warehouse Operations Manager & Dispatch for credit and/or recovery to customer.
- Track customer comments on the driver?s manifest sheet and report these comments back to the Day Warehouse Operations Manager & Dispatch and/or Senior Management
- Return to warehouse all CHEP pallets, plastic pallets, and all plastic milk crates.
- Work in warehouse as requested by supervisors.
- Responsible to place product overages and all other returns on Returns Pallet for Day Warehouse Operation Manager & Dispatch for determination of disposition and report chain of custody
- Return fuel receipts daily.
- Report any issues and/or mechanical problems with truck to Day Warehouse Ops Manager and/or Operations Director
- Follow all DOT regulations including not speaking on cell phones while operating the truck.
- Must report all accidents and incidents on the road and/or during the delivery process to Day Warehouse Ops Manager and/or Operations Director
- Follow all Food Defense plan guidelines during customer deliveries.
- Adherence to company and Customer COVID-19 guidelines is required.
- Member of the Stock Recovery Team; alternate member Truck Driver & Custom Order Delivery
- Perform other tasks, jobs, and/or assignments as directed by supervisors
