Part-Time position.
Salary commensurate with experience starting at $16.62 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Drive trolleys and community vehicles in a safe manner, maintaining a safe driving record at all time.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle(s), both interior and exterior, throughout the day.
- Keep adequate fuel levels and notify proper entities of any maintenance needs.
- Drop off trolleys and vehicles for maintenance and repair as requested.
- Understand how to utilize maps; giving clear and accurate directions or using written directions to facilitate routes.
- Maintain a general working knowledge of The Villages’ amenities & services.
- Know the path to becoming a Villager and the appropriate people to assist along the way.
- Cultivate an inviting and friendly environment in all areas at all times; being a great team player.
- Sign up guests and residents for trolley tours, ensuring a seamless experience for all.
- Provide a welcoming door service for all who visit any of the Sales Centers; smiling and acknowledging every guest.
- Assist with stock, orders, preparation and clean-up of our refreshment stations; keeping all host working areas organized and clean.
- Reserve and monitor sales parking areas during special events to ensure parking for our sales guests and employees.
- Attend to other special duties as assigned and other various destinations and events throughout our community.
- Utilize applicable computer software programs to assist in daily operations (ex: checking email, etc.).
- Attend special meetings, educational sessions and assist leadership in ongoing training of new team members.
- Other duties as assigned - specific to a Trolley Driver(s) particular focus or department needs.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- No educational pre-requisite.
- Must have a clear, valid Florida CDL with passenger and air brake endorsement, along with a driving record acceptable to company standards.
- Basic computer skills a plus.
- Must be able to confidently and effectively communicate with customers.
- This position requires strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm for The Villages and all it has to offer, a desire to serve in a support role and the ability to problem solve in order to handle a variety of variables.
