Redbird Services Climber
Summary: As a climber, you will be responsible for maintaining and pruning trees, and removing dead or unwanted trees. The climber will also be responsible for alerting crew of any material dropping.
To ensure success as a climber you should have in-depth knowledge of tree biology, a good understanding of tree anatomy, and the physical strength to climb and cut tree limbs. A top-notch climber maintains the health and attractiveness of a tree to meet the customer's needs.
Climber Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Trimming tree branches and pruning trees.
- Removing dead or unwanted trees.
- Identify hazards or diseased trees.
- Lift operation.
- Communication with crew while on site to ensure safety.
Climber Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Tree Climber. Minimum 2 years.
- Advanced knowledge of tree biology and tree anatomy.
- Familiarity with climbing equipment. MUST HAVE OWN SADDLE.
- Ability to operate handsaws and mechanical devices.
- Rigging experience.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and at heights.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
- Good communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
