Hiring for the following positions: Arborist, Ground Worker, Tree Trimmer, Climber, Crew Leader.
Pay $18.00-$30.00 hour based on experience and qualifications

We offer regular opportunities for training, growth, and professional development in all aspects of Tree Care. Our focus is on tree preservation but we also get to do some exciting tree removal work.
We work in rain, heat and cold, but we also get to enjoy all the beautiful days. We operate in Elkhart, South Bend, Goshen and surrounding areas. Work can get slow in colder weather but we still aim to get close to 40 hours/week even in the slow times.
At HartWood we care about trees and the people living with them. We love helping our clients solve their tree problems so that they can continue co-existing. We are a team who values intelligence, integrity and initiative. We’re looking primarily for full-time help but could consider part-time for the right person.

Job Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation (knowing how to drive a manual transmission is a +)
- Ability to lift 40-50 pounds
- Running a chainsaw (we can train you)
- Willingness to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times on job sites
- Driving a pickup truck and dump trailer up to 30 miles, backing and dumping loads
- Constant communication through blue-tooth units in helmets to coordinate job flow and safety
- First Aid/CPR card (can be obtained after hiring and the company will pay for cost of training)
- Prepare, operate and maintain all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws,chippers, and aerial lifts
- Remove limbs and brush, cleanup and dispose of debris
- Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the working area. Help enforce on-the-job safety practices
- Capable of operating two-handed equipment (chain saw, circular saw, etc.) and have the physical ability to endure extreme heat and cold
- Willing and able to obtain specialized training and certifications as required
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
Bonus Skills that can increase pay
- Experience with tree work, climbing, tool or vehicle maintenance/repair
- Other related work/management experience
- College Degree
- CDL
- Arboriculture certifications

● 7-7:30 am start time depending on season
● Work days can be 8-10 hours depending on the jobs
