Job Description
Treating Plant Operator opening is for 2nd shift - 4:30 pm - 3:00 am. Pays Overtime (time and a half).
Key Responsibilities
* Accurately mix and monitor chemical solutions for wood treatment.
* Prioritize safety in all aspects of work.
* Operating a fork truck.
* Calculate precise treatment quantities for each batch.
* Efficiently manage wood treatment machinery, including software, pumps, and valves.
* Proactively address any operational issues during the treatment process.
* Diligently complete all required documentation.
* Collaborate with the Quality Coordinator to meet product quality standards, focusing on retention and penetration levels.
* Conduct cylinder cleaning processes when changing treatment solutions, adhering to strict safety guidelines.
* Keep accurate records of treatment processes.
* Comply with all environmental and safety protocols, reporting any concerns or violations.
* Participate in all mandatory training sessions and safety meetings.
* High School Diploma or GED is required.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
* Ability to learn about various chemical treatments.
* Knowledgeable in identifying different wood types and grades.
* Keen to understand and master the treatment process.
* Skilled in identifying heartwood percentages.
* Capable of working independently.
* Committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
* Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making.
* Effective communication skills.
* Basic math skills are required.
* Must be able to pass respiratory fitness tests and work wearing a respirator.
