Treasury Analyst

WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Treasury Analyst in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location.
The Financial Analyst is part of a job family. The selected candidate's experience will be the determining factor in level offered.
Job Summary
This position is accountable for supporting the Treasury Group at WEC Energy Group and subsidiaries, including We Energies, Wisconsin Public Service and various other companies within WEC Energy Group.
Job Responsibilities

• Accounting - ensure appropriate accounting related to WEC debt portfolio and reconcile daily cash activity between the bank and accounting system.
• Prepare monthly cash account reconciliations.
• Credit Evaluations - examine the financial statements and ratings of about 100 counterparties we engage in transactions with in the natural gas market and energy market.
• Monitor Collateral - track the details of guarantees and letters of credit from counterparties for terms and expiration dates to keep them current.
• Prepare annual RFP's - work with Gas Purchasing to assign available credit amounts to the various counterparties who sell natural gas to our 8 utilities relating to the long term winter contracts.
• Financing - support the long-term debt financing process by preparing offering documents, pro forma financial statements and responding to investor diligence.
• Reporting - support the preparation of debt-related reporting for SEC filings, regulatory and internal management.

Other

• Respond to data requests from internal and external stakeholders (investors, regulators, auditors, etc.)
• Work with customer service to reconcile customer payments to the customer service system.
• Incumbents will conduct increasingly complex assignments depending on level.
• The senior levels will provide work direction to teammates and assist in the prioritization of their work load, provide training to departmental staff and clients, and will proactively take the lead role in improving processes, technologies and business solutions

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline is required
• Strong analysis, decision making and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints
• Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively internally or virtually with others
• Proficient in standard office software (MS Excel, Visio, Word)
• Associate position is entry level - some relevant experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities among several stakeholders
• Experience using SAP
• CTP, CFA or CPA preferred
• Experience with issuing public and private debt
• Experience with Bloomberg
