The City of Nashua, NH with an annual general fund budget of approximately $317 million, seeks a highly qualified professional to join its management team as the Treasurer / Tax Collector. This Charter position pursuant to RSA 48:16 is appointed by the Mayor and is confirmed by the Board of Aldermen.
JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the CFO, this position is responsible for all managerial and financial functions of the Treasurer and Tax Collector Offices. Reporting to this position is the Deputy Treasurer / Deputy Tax Collector, Trust Accountant and the Revenue Coordinator. This position will also be called upon to advise the Mayor, CFO and committees of the Board of Aldermen on the financial aspects of pending resolutions and ordinances as applicable. Responsibilities also will include the monitoring of applicable state legislation and testifying before standing committees of the State Senate and House of Representatives from time to time. This is a full-time Unaffiliated position, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and provides an excellent work life balance. The salary is dependent upon experience.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Education to include a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field, Master's degree a plus
- Five to seven years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have direct experience as a Treasurer, municipal experience a plus
- Must be a Certified New Hampshire Tax Collector or have the ability to become certified through the New Hampshire Tax Collectors' Association within three years of appointment
