The Environmental Techniciansat Republic Services support activities in the field related to large scale remediation project work. Must be open to travel up to 85% throughout the United States. We offer per diem.
Our technicians are counted on to operate small equipment, lift heavy objects and work as a safety-conscious team member and support full remedial site operations.
Day in the Life
- Gear up in your PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), if needed for the day
- Use your hands-on work ethic to perform various tasks at the site
- Perform work within confined spaces
- Operate a pump, power washing, and a variety of small equipment
- Operate heavy equipment (we will train you!)
- Operate dewatering pumps, and water treatment systems
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you need to apply
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years construction/environmental experience
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 40-HAZWOPER
- Must be able to work overnight assignments
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule including overtime and weekends
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
