Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS and TNCC
1.) ED RN’s will be cross trained to support respiratory services; This will include nebulizer treatments, Cpap, Bipap and short term ventilation support. Our team is trained by Respiratory therapists and our equipment is modified to ensure it is simplified for ease of use.
2.) New facility, with expected daily volumes of up to 26 ED patients per day.
3.) Expect IP census to average around 2 patients per day. 2 ED RN’s will be on shift during peak hours of the day (11a-11p), 1 ED RN and 1 ED Paramedic from 11p-11a (slowest time of the day). 1 Inpatient RN on shift most days, there may be a few days they have 2 RN’s on shift. No nursing assistants on staff, at least initially. The team is cross trained across our building.

Education - Required
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
Experience - Required
- 1 year Acute Care Experience and/or experience congruent with role in service line.
Licenses - Required
- Registered Nurse State of Pennsylvania
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required
- Successful completion of Registered Nurse orientation.
Education - Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing
Additional Qualifications - Preferred
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification, as per unit requirement
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty.
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
- Basic computer skills.
