- Under the supervision of our Medical Director, we're seeking a dedicated Locum Nurse Practitioner to join our team at a small community hospital located about 1 hour from Redding, California. You will play a key role in providing top-notch healthcare services, focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education, and counseling.

Qualifications:
- Current NP license in California.
- Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- DEA Registration.
- AANP or ANCC certification.
- 3+ years in Acute or Geriatric/SNF care or equivalent preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide healthcare services to patients and residents, following physician-established guidelines.
- Conduct patient rounds in Med/Surg Acute and Long-Term Care Facility.
- Perform physical exams, obtain medical histories, and identify health risks.
- Order, interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests; diagnose illnesses, formulate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and therapies based on patient diagnoses.
- Offer health education and counseling, promoting positive health behaviors.
- Collaborate with physicians and health team for optimal patient care.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, policies, and confidentiality.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
