In response to the Table Mesa shooting (2021), the Boulder Strong Resources Center (BSRC) is designed to attend to the psychological needs of individuals and groups affected by the traumatic event. You will provide supportive counseling, psychoeducation, and ongoing clinical services for clients at the Boulder Strong Resource Center (BSRC) and during outreach events. This is a grant funded position through June 2025.

Job Summary:

As our Therapist you will provide therapy and Milieu Support to those who are affected by the Table Mesa shooting. You will provide milieu, individual, and group therapeutic services using evidence-based approaches to evaluating and treating trauma. You will be out in the community, with first responders, and at the Table Mesa King Soopers. You will observe clients in the milieu and respond to those who may need more support, and provide supportive counseling. You will examine diagnostic aspects and provide case managers the clients' needs regarding potential referrals to other MHP services or outside agencies. You will report to the Boulder Strong Resource Center Program Manager

The schedule you would work is Monday-Thursday 9:30 am - 5:30pm; Friday 9:30am - 5:00 pm

Job Profile:

  • Do you have experience conducting assessment of clients to determine their needs?
  • Have you provided individual therapy sessions?
  • You will support a small case load around 10-15 clients
  • Have you run support groups and outreach services in the community?
  • Are you wanting to be in the community to support first responders, educate the Boulder DA office, and check in on store personnel?
  • Do you have experience providing therapy with trauma-based modalities?
  • Are you wanting to work with people who are highly impacted by the incident? You may work with clients who may have a higher level process need related to the incident.

What We Need:

  • Master’s in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field plus 1+ years internship and prior experience in a clinical setting required.
  • Must be license-eligible (Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage/Family Therapist (LMFT)) or working toward completion of licensure within 12 months.
