Tesla offers a robust employee shuttle service program with commuter, last mile, and intercampus routes. Operation runs 24/7, transporting over 10,000 employees daily. As part of the Workplace Team, the Transportation Support Specialist is responsible for assisting with employee transportation inquires and monitoring multiple transportation options at several sites through multiple channels of communication. The Transportation Support Specialist works closely with the Transportation Manager and Program Managers and is a crucial part of the Workplace Transportation Team.

- Monitor the flow of shuttles using Transportation Management Software (TMS) to ensure adherence to published schedules
- Monitor radio communications, Transportation Management Software (TMS), regional real-time online sources, and reports to optimize routes and provide alternative routing if required
- Communicates with passengers, which includes addressing in-person inquiries, making announcements about upcoming program modifications, maintaining client communication channels, and responding to staff queries over the telephone and via customer service tool
- Monthly data collection and analysis for incidents for communications and operations insight
- Create/maintain logs for employee feedback, and unusual activity
- Monitor radio communications, Transportation Management Software (TMS), regional real-time online sources, and reports to optimize routes and provide alternative routing if required
- Maintain proficiency of Transportation Management Software (TMS) required for dispatch operations
- At least two years of transportation and commute program related experience
- GPS tracking and dispatch related skills
- Must possess good communication skills and be able to handle the public in a courteous manner
- Previous dispatching experience is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Poweroint & Outlook)
- Must be able to work various shifts (day, evening, nights, weekends) as required by the needs of the business
Compensation and Benefits
Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:
$20.20 - $52.80/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
