Freight Broker Logistics Support Specialist

We are an established 35 year Freight Broker Company, seeking a service-minded Logistics Customer Support Specialist to assist as a liaison between our customers and freight carriers. The Specialist will secure new accounts, expedite the sharing of information and documentation between customers and carriers, and communicate with dispatchers and drivers to track the status of loads. You will negotiate contracts with carriers in a manner that optimizes profits.
To ensure success in this position you need to maintain current knowledge of freight carrier services and be effective in attracting new customers and ensuring customer retention. Top applicants are customer-oriented and could multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
• Prepare clear and accurate dispatch documents.
• Provide clear information to carriers and drivers to meet all customer expectations.
• Dispatch truck drivers with the ability to deliver orders on time.
• Update clients and teammates of drivers ETA's when requested.
• Set pick-up and delivery appointments with warehouses.
• Proactively provide tracking updates to customers and warehouses.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties that are time sensitive and in order of importance.
• Help build and maintain customer relationships and improve customer retention with friendly, helpful, and accurate interactions.
• Develop new freight opportunities with current, past, and new clientele.

Requirements
• High school diploma, associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred but no required.
• Sales, Marketing, or Customer Service experience preferred.
• Experience in the transportation industry a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 office.
• Ability to work well under stress and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize required.
• Bilingual Candidate Spanish/Hindi/Farcie/Chinese/Korean preferred but not required

Wage
• Starting at $20.00 - $25.00 DOE.
Schedule
• Monday Thru Friday - 8am – 5pm
