Qualifications include...
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Registered Professional Engineer with 5-12 years of experience. DOT experience desirable.
• Ability to work well with, coach and direct others.
• Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Exposure to ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Bluebeam.
• Ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
• Possess strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver effective oral and written presentations.
• Strong organizational and technical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills. Capable of defining the problem, identifying solutions and presenting recommendations.
Duties & Responsibilities includes but not limited to...
• Assist in monitoring project progress as required to assure meeting of deadlines in conjunction with the Project Manager.
• Perform design tasks or delegate tasks to Project Engineers and technicians, answer questions and monitor progress daily.
• Responsible for detailed project design decisions (with input from PM).
• Prepare correspondence, reports, plans, specs, permit applications and cost estimates. Review those prepared by Project Engineers.
• Coordinate with Project Construction Engineer during project design, bid and construction phases.
• Assist in engineering analysis and preparations of engineering reports, maps, drawings, designs, spec, plans, and permits for projects.
• Assist with analyses and designs for roadway, parking lots, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water distribution, grading, and other roadway infrastructure.
